3. JUNE 23-24 Jasper to Lake Louise

 We explored Jasper all we could, and stayed at the awesome Pyramid Lake resort just out of town. Wonderful lake and mountain view, but we didn't hike the nearby trails because a Grizzly Bear had just walked down through the resort, swam in the lake, and disappeared just before we arrived. They take their Grizzlies serious around here! Lots of hikes and relaxation, plus great food here.Then, off in our car again, headed for Lake Louise, Post Hotel,  for some more mountain adventures before getting on the train for Vancouver.

9. JUNE 30 Vancouver goodbye

  Today we are headed home in a couple of hours - we hope ! Our flight from Vancouver to Atlanta was cancelled due to a mechanics strike at WestJet Airlines. I worked with a wonderful agent from Delta to rebook our flights -now Seattle/Atlanta/Asheville. I have boarding passes but no seat assignments to Seattle so keeping our fingers crossed! Update: We’ve been assured we are on! Now to fun stuff!! Our last day in Vancouver was very fun:) we walked along Coal Harbor to Stanley Park and rode a horse carriage tour through the Park (lots of history and lovely sights). Ate lunch overlooking the Harbor! Girl in Wetsuit modeled after Little Mermaid, when Copenhagen artist refused permission to copy. 1. JUNE 20, 2024 Banff, Alberta

    BANFF  Banff, AB   We landed in Calgary last night with Sherye and Jack Cook, then drove to Banff. We spent the day hiking, picnicking and walking all over Banff National Park.
